About Capernaum, Israel

The village of Capernaum is on the northwest shore of the Sea of Galilee. The ruined synagogue and church stand quite close to each other near the shore, with ruins of 1st-6th-century houses in between. It was village where Jesus lived and ministered often, as well as called his first disciples and performed scores of miracles. Also on the place are finely carved stones that belong to the synagogue, and a new Greek Orthodox church nearby.

Nazareth is city of Annunciation

Nazareth is city of the Annunciation and the place where was the childhood of Christ. City lies in the hills of Lower Galilee. There is a temple of the Annunciation, this is a basilica belonging to the Franciscans. It was built and consecrated in 1969.
According to Bible there the Virgin Mary lived at grot when the angel told her the good news. Groth was her house, a now located on the lower level of the basilica.

Today, the Nazareth is the largest Arab city in Israel. The city is divided into blocks which can be identified by the domes of mosques, churches and towers: the Catholic quarter, Greek Orthodox, Muslim. There has not been preserved ancient Jewish synagogue.

Flea market – Marché aux puces – Field of Dreams

Flea market is a place where people buy and sell old, or used items, usually made many years ago. These items are cheap and their price depends on several factors, I’m thinking, such as:

Place (and period of history) of manufacture.
Method of manufacture (handmade or factory).
Popularity of the item.
The popularity of the flea market.
Quality.

Anyway, the name “flea market” comes from the French language (Marché aux puces).
The most famous flea market in Belarus is on the “Zhdanovichi” market and people call it as “Field of Dreams”. I visited it and got the pleasure of touching the past. This flea market as a mini-village , where about five hundred sellers or more, I don’t know. You can easily spend 1-2 hours looking at items. Don’t be afraid to freeze in the winter there: you can always buy a cup of hot chocolate or visit any bistro. Here’s a several pictures.

The Tabgha Multiplication Church is famous thanks to the preserved ancient fish and loaves mosaic, Tabgha Church is relatively modern but stands on the ruins of 4th Century Church which traditionally believed to be the site of the multiplication miracle, is the sight where Jesus fed the 5,000 persons (Matt. 14:19).
About mosaics: mosaics reveals birds and plants and it is preserved in such a great condition.

The church is open daily and modest dress is required. The Church of the Primacy of Peter is the location that Jesus restored Peter after His resurrection (John 21:15). The campus is lovely with a small area on the shore of the Sea of Galilee that you can visit. Admission is free. It is open daily. No shorts or tanktops are allowed, I’m thinking. If you are driving, don’t park in the bus parking area or you’ll be ticketed.

The Church of the Mount of Beatitudes is a catholic church that is run by the Franciscan order that is considered to be the largest order amongst the catholic stream. The church is located on the Mount of Beatitudes that is lifted 125 meters above the Sea of Galilee (Lake Kinneret) level and where there is a beautiful observation point on the area.

It was a good surprise when I got there. Beautyfull place with gardens, boat, places to walk & etc. Near there has natural places for hiking and others stuffs.
There is a very good restaurants and you can go on foot. Really loved it.
The breakfast in hotel was the most lavish I have ever had in Israel, a country known for its lavish breakfasts. It is a good value for the money,which is significantly less than better known spas in the area. Also a free Wi-Fi. Aiming to go there again.

Tiberias is synonymous with relaxation. The city is situated on the shores of Lake of Galilee Sea or Lake Kinneret, it is the “low” in Israel, the city (about 200 feet below sea level). Every year, attracts thousands of tourists and vacationers. This is a lively tourist center, offering plenty of entertainment and a variety of leisure options for all ages. The city has 30 hotels including luxury hotels, as well as more modest guesthouses and hostels. Most of the hotels located on the shore, and live in them is a true delight. Water parks for the whole family, restaurants and bars, extreme water sports – this is only part of what hotels offer travelers.
