A few days ago I visited the city of Zaslawl. Of course, I was there in 2006. I was going to photograph things that are not noticed before. But luck was not on my side. The weather was horrific, there was cold and rainy. I took some pictures. Oh, yes! At this time I was armed with a map of attractions because Google maps is scanty for Belarus.
Morning, birds are passive, fog, dampness, cobwebs everywhere… Similar morning may be only at the end of August. Yesterday I visited the forest near the village of Daugerdzishki in early morning and I felt the awakening of nature.
A now I updated album about this place by a few pictures.
Yeah, yeah!.. Nature can make phenomenal things. If you will spend more time for searching for interesting, there will probability found very ambitious things.
Today I tried to visit the village Ossova to photograph the catholic church. My route lay through the village of Bastuny. It was five o’clock in the morning and it was still dark. I was lost my way. My GPS receiver was not able to help me quickly, I could not give orientate. Of course, I found the road an hour later and there was sunrise, but I lost too much time searching for the road. I was forced to return because I did not want to 35-degree heat caught me on the road, I was to go three kilometers and come back. I will visit this village in the future, this is not a problem.
I again spent weekends away from home. I visited the village of Milkovschina (Milkowszczyna as Polish variant) and Hanevichi. I had a night in the village of Hanevichi. So I had the opportunity to photograph the evening village.
Of course, the chirping of cicadas and the squeaks of mosquitoes with the chirping of swallows gave special effect to the evening. Here’s a new pictures about trip.
That night was a thunderstorm. To see a thunderstorm in the countryside is it seems terrible than in the city. Was so much lightning and the sky just the thunder roared. One of lightning hited in pylon of electric power line: sparks flew in all directions. This pylon located no more than four meters from the house. We decided that the house is burning, but God saved us. Everything was ok… In the morning was such weather:
I visited village of Lipnishki. This village have a deep history associated with the catholic church of St.Casimir’s. Which is not only a monument of architecture and history of the village, but also a monument of the parish, which has existed since the XVI century. The origins of Lipnishki’s parish took back in 1511, when there were established themselves Lipnishki and parish of Zygmuntsishki, which was affiliated to Lipnishki. It was only after a hundred years, in 1610, was established by an independent parish of Lipnishki.
I invite everyone to see new pictures about church and village.
I don’t understood what happened. There was rain and thunder. At the other part of the city the trees were uprooted by wind. I took video of a few moments, but it don’t reflect the scale of the disaster. They say a strong wind lasted no more than five minutes…
Last Saturday was +33C. It’s too hot. But I had scheduled for this day to visit the town of Rakow which is 35 kilometers away from Minsk. The city is located near the autobahn M1 (it’s way to Vilnius (Lithuania) or Lida, Grodno (Belarus) and Białystok (Poland)). I took 70 shots, if I had a memory card more than 128 Mb, then I could longer take pictures. Here are photos. Here’s a video taken by cellphone: walking around Rakow town and returning home by bus.
Several weeks ago the domain was transfered to another server. In this regard, some features of the site and the blog didn’t work correctly. It seems, now everything is ok and resource will work as usual mode. And I will continue to seek new places and things for photographing, for videoing.
